One farmer, Luis Garcia, took a risk in 1989 by working with Plant With Purpose despite rumors that the ministry would steal his land. Local agronomists visited his 180 acre farm and taught him about tree cultivation, grafting, and planting living barriers to create terraces and prevent soil erosion. Luis told CT that after working with PWP for a number of years, "everything improved, including the health of my entire family. This is a ministry for the health of the community. There are so many sick people."
Luis' story is just one of many. Check out the November issue of CT at your local bookstore or newsstand!

Floresta Featured in Christianity Today!
We are very excited to announce that Floresta and Plant With Purpose are featured in the November issue of Christianity Today.
Last April, a handful of Plant With Purpose staff traveled to the Dominican Republic along with CT reporter Deann Alford to collect stories from rural farmers about how Plant With Purpose's support has helped strengthen their communities, their health, and their livelihoods.
