REVO San Diego

posted by Corbyn
There is an awesome event that I want to invite you all to. If you live in the San Diego area and are free Sunday night, come on down to Bondi Bar and Grill in the Gaslamp Quarters Downtown! I have been working with staff from other San Diego non-profits (Amor, Invisible Children, Eleho, and Grace Church) to host an event that will raise funds and awareness for Street Angels. Street Angels works here in San Diego to get at-risk youth off the streets.
The idea behind a REVO event is for a community to draw together by utilizing the assets and skills that they have to support a good cause. Artists, musicians, and lots of other San Diegans will be joining together Sunday night to enjoy each other's company and be involved in a movement and network called REVO. All ages are welcome!

San Diego Christmas Light Exchange

Calling all San Diegans! The City of San Diego and SDG&E are sponsoring a Christmas light exchange program this season. SDG&E is offering free LED holiday lights in exchange for old incandescent holiday light strands.

Here’s the deal: go to one of the locations listed below and bring up to three incandescent light strands to exchange for three free energy-efficient strands of LED holiday lights, (while supplies last.) You must also bring a valid California ID and/or your SDG&E utility bill.

Using LEDs are an excellent way to go green and save money, since they use up to 90% less energy than standard incandescent strands of lights, create almost no heat, and reduce fire hazard.
